“Wicked Winds” by Mazde
4 months on the road, driving across this country, and the one above it, headed West, with lots of North, South, and East mixed in, and, as of two days ago, we made it.
After all those days and nights in our van, Murph, we made it to the West Coast; the pacific Ocean, the salty, freezing-cold waves of the coast opposite to home.
And I’ll tell you what, we were fucking psyched. We spent the night on the beach, had a campfire, ate s’mores, were able to see a full tide change come in and cover every last footprint from the afternoon’s exploring, and then we fell asleep, only to be woken up by the steady rainfall that thankfully held off from the day prior.
So, now we are heading South, with some East, West, and a little bit of North mixed in, as we make our way to Joshua Tree, CA for Thanksgiving, and a flight out of LAX that will take us back across the thousands of miles we drove with four wheels, to our friends, our family, and the holiday season.
